Quick answer

Compare a role’s required skills with your own list for a match score, prioritized gaps and an automatic four-week focus plan — saved only on your device, computed locally.

Most job applications fail on a gap you could have closed in a month — if only you had seen it. The Skills Gap Analyzer makes the gap visible before you apply: paste the requirement section of the advertisement (or start from one of six Nepali-market role presets), list the skills you genuinely have, and the analyzer matches them with case-and-punctuation normalization, giving partial credit when the ad says "MS Excel" and you wrote "Excel". What remains is your real to-do list, ranked.

The output is deliberately actionable. Matched, partial and missing skills appear as separate chip groups; the first three missing skills are flagged as priority because closing them moves the score most per hour spent; and an automatic four-week focus plan turns those gaps into a weekly routine ending with CV evidence you can show. Save the session on your device, re-run it after each study block, and watch the gauge move from 40% to 80% — then take the finished profile through the ATS Resume Score Checker before you apply.

Quick answers about how the tool works. Tap any question to expand.

How is this different from the ATS Resume Score Checker?

The ATS checker scores your CV document against a job advertisement — parsing, keywords, formatting. The Skills Gap Analyzer scores you against a role: it does not care how your CV is written, only which required skills you already have, which are half-formed and which are genuinely missing, then turns the gaps into a study plan. Use the analyzer before you apply; use the ATS checker after your CV is drafted.

How is the match score calculated?

Each required skill is compared against your list after normalization (case, punctuation and spacing removed). An exact phrase match counts fully; a substring match in either direction — "Excel" when the ad asks "MS Excel" — counts as a partial worth half. Score = exact matches plus half of the partials, divided by required skills. The first three missing skills are flagged as priority gaps.

Where do the role presets come from?

Six starting sets — office/admin assistant, bank teller, IT support, data entry, sales & marketing and site civil engineer — compiled from skills that Nepali job advertisements for these roles commonly list. They are starting points, not official syllabi: replace or extend them with the requirement section of the specific advertisement you are targeting. Applying a preset merges it with what you already typed.

Where is my list saved, and can I use it offline?

"Save on this device" writes your role and both skill lists to your browser’s localStorage — never to a server; clearing site data erases it. The analyzer runs entirely offline like every tool in the studio, and the copy button hands you a plain-text report for your mentor or career notebook.
