Interview Practice — Question Bank with Model Answers
Draw a question, answer out loud, reveal the model-answer structure, and mark yourself honestly. The weighted draw keeps unseen and missed questions coming back until they are strong — General, Behavioural STAR, Lok Sewa and HR & Salary banks included, with coverage stats saved on your device.
Quick answer
Weighted random practice over a curated interview question bank with model-answer structures, confidence marking and coverage stats — saved only on your device, computed locally.
The interview is the stage where prepared and unprepared candidates separate fastest — not because the questions are hard, but because an unpractised answer rambles while a practised one lands in under ninety seconds. Interview Practice turns preparation into a routine: draw a question from a curated bank of twenty, answer it out loud first, then open the model-answer structure and compare. The bank covers the four areas that decide most hires — General (your story, strengths, weakness, five-year plan), Behavioural questions answered in STAR form, the Government / Lok Sewa board style (service motivation, organisation knowledge, citizen handling), and HR & Salary (expectations, gaps, leaving reasons, questions to ask back).
The practice loop is deliberately honest. Every question you mark "Needs practice" returns three times as often as a confident one; unseen questions dominate until you have covered them, so the deck quietly becomes your personal weakness list. Coverage stats show how much of the bank you have faced, and a streak counter rewards consistency. Marks and stats live in your browser’s localStorage only — no account, no upload — and a reset button gives you a clean round before a real interview week. Pair it with the interview dress-code and salary-negotiation guides and walk in with the whole picture.
Interview Practice — Question Bank with Model Answers — Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about how the tool works. Tap any question to expand.
How does the "Draw random question" selection work?
It is weighted, not uniform: questions you have never seen carry weight 4, ones you marked "Needs practice" carry weight 3, and "Got it" questions carry weight 1. In practice that means the deck keeps returning to your weak spots until you upgrade them, while strong answers only resurface for maintenance. Skipping draws again without recording anything, so a question you keep skipping keeps its unseen weight and comes back soon.
What is the STAR method the Behavioural answers follow?
STAR is the four-beat structure interviewers expect for "tell me about a time..." questions: Situation (one line of context), Task (what you were responsible for), Action (what YOU did — not the team in general), Result (how it ended and what you learned). Every model answer in the Behavioural category is annotated to that skeleton. Prepare two or three real stories from study, work or volunteering and you can bend them to fit almost any behavioural question.
Is this useful for Lok Sewa (Public Service Commission) interviews?
The Government / Lok Sewa category rehearses the questions that board-style interviews love: why government service, what you know about the organisation, handling an angry citizen, and composure under pressure. It is deliberate practice for the interview moment — it does not replace the official syllabus for the written paper. Pair it with the site’s 90-day Lok Sewa preparation plan and the document checklist for exam day.
Where are my marks and progress stored?
In your browser’s localStorage — the same private, on-device storage that keeps your theme choice. Marks, coverage stats and the confidence streak survive reloads and restarts but never leave your device; there is no account, no sync and no upload. "Reset progress" wipes the marks so you can start a clean round — useful before a real interview week, when starting from zero shows you exactly which answers have gone rusty.
